To speed up drug development, an AI system was created to design new medicines from scratch by analyzing the structure of disease-related proteins (e.g., in rare or hard-to-treat conditions). The system identifies where a drug could attach on the structure, creates matching molecules and checks if they're likely to be safe and effective. This helps discover treatments that existing drug libraries may miss.
